Gang Starr was an influential Americanhip-hop duo, composed of late rapper Guru (Backronym for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal, real name Keith Elam) and DJ Premier (real name Chris Martin). Premier originally from Houston and Guru from Boston, but they are now based in and represent Brooklyn, New York, epitomizing the New York City hip-hop sound. This is some of the best hip hop out there. If for some odd reason you've never listened to Gang Starr then do yourself a favor and get both these albums ASAP! R.I.P. GURU!
